If you live in an area of the country where cold weather gear is a must, I know it can be tough to find coats and jackets that look somewhat stylish while doing there job of keeping you warm. Here I have picked out some of my favorite casual coats, jackets and vests. I would wear any one of them myself.
1. Spiewak Wool Peacoat
I have seen the Spiewak peacoat in a variety of high end shops as well as average shops. This is a jacket that Spiewak produces every year and which has also become signature item for them. It is also a great example of how a well designed, simple piece of clothing doesn't have to cost a fortune to be considered high end.
3. Banana Republc Water Resistant Short-Zip Jacket
I love the look of this jacket. It's well priced, has style and functionality. What more could you ask for?
4. Wool Topcoat
5. Patagonia Puff Jacket
A nylon stitched down jacket like those made by Patagonia often look like far more expensive Prada jackets. You can't beat the price for a high end designer look. I have a friend who owns a Patagonia quilted down jacket and he swears by it on chilly days. It provides just the right amount of warmth.
6. Tommy Hilfiger Juno Jacket
Sometimes all you want is a stylish motorcycle style jacket to throw on over a sweater or other layers. Layering keeps you warm and allows you to peel off when necessary.
