There are certain essentials when it comes to accessories for men. I have listed what I consider to be the five must have accessories for the fall season.
1. A Merino Wool or Cashmere Scarf
Merino wool is soft and will feel great around your neck. Many scarves are made with lower grade wools that are rough and don’t feel so nice. If you want to splurge, go for a cashmere scarf instead—you’ll never want to wear anything else.
2. Leather Gloves
Cashmere lined leather gloves are the ultimate fall/winter accessory. They keep your hands warm like no other glove and they are super stylish. They can be worm with just about everything - truly versatile.
3. Sunglasses
An essential accessory no matter what the season. Just because summer is over doesn’t mean there won’t bright days. And think of those days in winter when there is snow on the ground and there is a bright sky—ouch.
4. An Umbrella
Here comes the rain again (I'm suddenly struck by images of Annie Lennox/The Eurythmics). The best kind of umbrellas are the compact ones. Buy two: one for the car or house and one to carry around.
5. A Stylish Laptop Computer Bag
Everybody seems to have a laptop these days. And thankfully computer bags have come a long way since the boring bags that came with computers back in the day. The side benefit of a compuer bag is that guys now have a place to stash their stuff considering that pant pockets are only so big. You gotta store your stuff somewhere!
