Lacoste is so consistent with its delivery of youthful, preppy clothes. It's what makes the label so classic in what it does. And although the clothes transcend current fads, you will still find contemporary items such as slim fitting trousers, textured wool blazers, and infusions of current color. In the fall 2008 line up, the majority of pieces were shown in grays, cremes, black and oatmeal with scarce splashes of bolder colors like red and mustard. I normally associate Lacoste with much more use of color, but that doesn't mean the collection wasn't interesting. I loved the updated argyle prints and the horizontal red, mustard and sage horizontal stripes on black. So even though the Lacoste fall 2008 collection is a bit more subdued than I am used to, I found the pieces to be eminently wearable.
