Highlights from the Duckie Brown Fall 2007 Collection
Sunday February 4, 2007
In the past I haven’t been the biggest fan of Duckie Brown. I have found the clothes to be somewhat ridiculous. Call me unimaginative. That’s not to say that there weren’t a few pieces in each collection that were wearable. But for their fall 2007 collection, we have witnessed a certain evolution or maturity rather. There were more structured silhouettes but dressed down with high top shoes and gorgeous splashes of bright color via knit gloves, knit caps and sweaters. Although the bizarre wigs did seem a little contrived. The label maintained its youthful approach to fashion which is what makes it so endearing. There always seems to be an element of surprise and a fresh take to fashion which is difficult to achieve these days. Check out some highlights from the show.
