Perry Ellis’ former creative director often created clothes that were a little too flamboyant for this classic American label. John Crocco, the new creative director, is returning the Perry Ellis label to its classic American heritage. The fall 2007 collection drew upon romantic notions of weekends in the Hamptons or perhaps the decadence made famous by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Notable items were cable knit sweaters, tweed trousers, cardigans of all sorts and suits in soft cream, tan and grey hues. See for yourself.
