2009 Shop with a Conscience Consumer Guide

Tuesday December 2, 2008
Are you someone who like to shop with a conscience, or in other words, know that what you are buying is being made in a fair and equitable environment towards workers, and not in a sweatshop? SweatFree Communities and the International Labor Rights Forum put together the 2009 Shop with a Conscience Consumer Guide which promotes products that are made in good working conditions. According to the Sweatfree Communities website, "all the products in this shopping guide are made by workers organized into democratic unions or worker-owned cooperatives." And all of the retailers and wholesalers went through a "rigorous" application process. To learn more about it, visit SweatFree.org.
