Tying a tie is one of those things every guy should know how to do even if it's just for special occasions. But just in case you don't know how, here are easy to follow step by step instructions on how to tie a Windsor Knot (aka Full Windsor). It's a more chunky knot which protrudes out from the shirt versus lying flat like the four-in-hand (the most basic of knots for ties). The Windsor should really be worn exclusively with a spread collar shirt. The knot itself was named after Edward VII, the King of England from 1901 to 1910, who preferred a wide triangular knot.

Cotton and other natural fiber suits are certainly being seen more and more in spring and summer collections. I find that there is something romantic about them, perhaps a nod to another era. High-end designers like Giorgio Armani, Paul Smith and Prada always add cotton suits to their summer collections. This could be a trend we will see for years to come.
